Access Control
Aimed specifically at the commercial market, access control is becoming very popular for the control of staff within your premises.
If you need to limit access to certain areas, or perhaps share a building with other tenants and want to ensure they cannot enter your part of the building, there will be an access control system to suit your requirements.
Access control comes in four distinct types: swipe card, keypad, proximity tag and biometric fingerprint readers; each has benefits over the other.
- Swipe cards allow employees to enter restricted areas with the use of individually coded cards; these can be cancelled within the system at anytime should any go missing
- Keypad allows numeric access to areas; again, restricting numbers is a simple process
- Proximity tags allow access when a small fob is passed in front of a reader. As mentioned, each has its merits and should this be an area of interest do not hesitate to contact us for a fuller explanation
- Biometric fingerprint reader will read individual fingerprints to control access. Systems start from 99 users upwards.
The above systems can be installed as stand-alone units for 1-2 doors or can be wired as a network system. Additional software can be used to manage the access control system, complete with log-in and additional functions such as time and attendance .
